Dennis joined the lab in 2021 as a research fellow working on flood risk analysis and uncertainty. Prior to joining the lab he worked for Deltares in the Netherlands. There he was involved in formulating the Dutch national flood risk management strategy and worked on many other flood risk management strategies around the world. He is specialized in flood damage models and data-driven methods to develop such models. He published many peer-reviewed journal articles on that and his PhD thesis is about this topic as well. Dennis holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from Delft University of Technology and a PhD degree from the VU University in Amsterdam.
